![]() The media presentation of the fragility and deterioration of the historical monuments peaked interest in the old city and made it a challenge. ![]() In a completely different register, the earthquake of October 1992 would bring up the question of patrimony and highlight the old districts. Through the success of a “mahfouzien” world and this international distinction, the Gamaliyya district was considered the “Nobel quarter”.
